Container characteristics
- Outer casing: anodised aluminium, particularly resistant to UV rays, humid climates and coastal areas.
- Jacket: its innovative design of 1,5 mm thick cold-rolled low carbon steel for the closed circuit guarantees stable operation even in freezing temperatures and at the same time protects the collectors from the risk of clogging by salts.
- Thermal insulation: expanded ecological polyurethane, 50 mm thick and of high density (43 kg/m3), which ensures for the consumer more hot water for use, minimizes heat losses and maintains the temperature of the hot water, even if the outside temperature is 30°C below zero.
- Inner vessel: cold-rolled steel (low carbon steel), 2.5 mm thick, in accordance with DIN 4800-5. This means that the container is twice as resistant to grid pressures as most common solar water heaters, to time and to areas with specific water quality requirements.
- Container protection: achieved with Duro Smalt Elastic. This innovative protection method is considered the most appropriate for its resistance to very hard water and its elastic properties allow it to follow the contraction-expansion of the tank, thus avoiding the risk of cracking that occurs in most tanks with different coating protection.
- Cathodic protection: magnesium anode for effective internal protection against corrosion and salt deposition caused by electrolysis reactions.
- Electrical resistance up to 4 kW: made of copper according to the regulations of the country of destination. (Optional, for use of electricity as an auxiliary power source).
- Safety thermostat: bipolar four-contact thermostat.
Collector characteristics
- Profile: has 4 ventilation holes covered in a completely watertight manner so as to prevent the ingress of rainwater.
- Selective absorber: copper channels (∅10 and ∅22) with selective titanium coating, which are welded automatically by the Ultrasonic method. This innovative welding method achieves absolute heat transfer and allows the solar collector to have the highest possible efficiency and durability.
- Frame: anodised aluminium, particularly resistant to harsh conditions.
Special safety crystal: unbreakable Tempered glass (3.5 mm thick) for high permeability and durability, resistant to adverse weather conditions (e.g. hail, extreme temperature changes). - Thermal insulation: strong side and rear insulation (20 mm glass wool & 35 mm rock wool), minimising heat loss in areas with low seasonal temperatures.
- Glass insulation: EPDM rubber and transparent silicone.
